Furniture Upcycling and Renovation

Busy day in the workshop.

These beech drop in seat chairs have been given a new lease of life with a funky vintage vinyl print.  With a wipe clean surface, they are perfect for the kitchen, Bathroom or nursery.

This Lloyd Loom type blanket box was mercifully in its original state, so a quick clean and recovering with a vintage floral print “Countryside” has brought it right up to date..  Just needs a complimentary braid to finish.

Next stop spotty chairs.

Call back soon!

Furniture Renovation and Upcycling

As promised – an update on the furniture renovation/upcycling. The storage box and bedside cabinet have both been completed and will be on sale in Goods and Chattels, Market Place, Howden on Thursday.

This tired and neglected bedside cabinet has been given a makeover with off white paint effect and a vintage Laura Ashley wallpaper.  4 coats of varnish, vintage narrow blue braid and a new handle complete the look.

The Lloyd Loom type storage box was luckily in its original condition so has just been cleaned and the top recovered with a vintage Sanderson screenprint.

Upcycling Furniture with Vintage Fabric and Wallpaper

As anyone familiar with my blog knows my passion is vintage fabric.  However, on my travels I see lots of tired and worn out furniture begging for a new lease of life.  As a qualified City and Guilds Upholsterer I have the skills to refurbish these items and here are a few items that I have recently brought home to my workshop.

Call back in a couple of days and see the transformation
